• Lead-acid batteries (like flooded, AGM, or gel types) charge differently and at slower rates.
  Using the same charge controller or inverter-charger for both can lead to undercharging, overcharging, or even battery damage.

• Lithium batteries maintain a steady voltage until nearly depleted.
• Lead-acid batteries show a gradual voltage drop.
  This causes power flow imbalances, leading to premature wear and inefficient performance.

3. Different Depth of Discharge (DoD)

• Lead-acid batteries are best kept at 50% DoD to avoid shortening their lifespan.
  Mixing the two means one type will always be underutilized or overworked.

4. Battery Management System (BMS) Conflicts

Lithium batteries have a built-in Battery Management System (BMS), while lead-acid does not. Combining them can confuse your system’s monitoring equipment, leading to false alarms or inaccurate readings.
